Explain briefly the relationship between law, ethics and justice?

According to L. B Curzon law has been defines as the written and unwritten body of rules largely derived from custom and formal enactment which are recognized as binding among those persons who constitute a community or state, so that they will be imposed upon and enforce among those persons by appropriate sanctions. This shows that law is a set of rules that being set by the legitimate government that must be strictly adhered to among the citizens. It also had been develop in a long time period of time in order to regulate the interactions between the people. It also determines what is right and duties of the citizens towards one another and towards their state. When there is any of them failure to follow the rule will results to appropriate punishment. Law also is covered with political, social and economic relationships in the society.

For ethics comes from Greek word “ethikos” which is means “arising from habit”. Ethics is defined on human behavior of right and wrong, good and bad and proper and improper of human action example in terms of fairness, honesty, murder, slander, and other. Ethics is about morally correct behavior in human action in order to behave with another person that will create a good relationship. It cover how to live with a good life, human rights and responsibility, the language of right and wrong and human moral decision. Ethics has been derived from the religions, philosophy and culture of the people. It is important for human to practice it because it will affect to the way of human beings behave either good or bad.

A justice is a moral rightness based on the ethics that being performed by the people, rationality, law, natural law, fairness, religion and equity. Justice is the result of the fair and also the proper of administration of law. It is important for an individual in every state because justice is the honesty and fairness that represent of facts respecting the rightness. So, justice is the content of the obligations of one person toward another.

Law and ethics are intimately related with each other because law will enforce the ethics. Basically, law is based on the moral principle of the society. Both are needed with each other in order to create a great extent. The law is creating form an ethical which have been chosen with the country, religion and others. With combination of law and ethics as a result the enforcement of the duties among the citizens is performed by the individual or if they did not perform it will be punished according to the state law. Every people can behave either good or bad, but the bad behavior is unethical behavior as a human. In order to make sure that people are always behave with an ethical behavior so that the state have to govern the law. With having the law, the citizens can be treated fairly, had a legal professionals practice with integrity. When there is conflict between the individual and other parties, there is the law that should be followed. From the law it will give justice to the both individuals because the law will result which individual are right. Law, ethics and justice are complimentary with each other because to guide citizens to have a good human behavior, to create the healthy society between each other in order to have a better life and in order to prevent any crime happened in the country.

Law and ethics are in two parallel lines which some people feel that what are illegal maybe considered as ethical and another people feel what considered legal maybe is considered unethical. For example, it is not illegal to lie to a friend but many of people believe it is not an ethics. This is why the government will amend the law based on the ethical of human behavior that people on the state are considered to be ethical. This shows that law and ethic is not the same things but it has a relationship in order to make people became more ethical because the ethical duties are exceed the legal requirements. There is some good example on how law is applied to the ethics such as employment law, European regulation and codes and ethics. To the businesses that applied this ethics and also policies will have a little or there is no legal imbroglio with the governments, customers and employees.

Therefore, it is important to the government to applied law, ethics and justice in their citizen life. When there is a law, all people can behave like a good moral behavior and there will be always a justice which is important for the human right.
